Integrating Narrative Techniques in Dental Education

This course explores the power of storytelling to enhance clinical decision-making, patient communication, and knowledge retention. Through case-based learning, role-playing, and reflective storytelling, students will apply theoretical knowledge, improve diagnostic reasoning, and develop empathy in patient care. Instructors will model narrative thinking in clinic, verbalizing their decision-making processes to bridge theory and practice. By integrating metaphors, journaling, and digital storytelling, this course fosters critical thinking, confidence, and a patient-centered approach to dentistry.
